The Hollard Insurance Group was formed in 1980 which includes businesses in Australia, throughout Africa, in the United States, the United Kingdom and South East Asia. Hollard entered the Australian market in 1999 and has covered more than 150,000 Australians with Home Insurance, Car Insurance, Landlord and Life products.

Hollard have two retail car insurance companies which they own and underwrite; Real Insurance and PAYD.  Both these brands bring innovative features into the Australian car insurance market.  Real Insurance offers money back if you don't make a claim during a certain period of time and PAYD (Pay as You Drive) gives benefits to those who drive a low amount of kms per year.
