Since 2005, Calliden has grown through a number of acquisitions and new broker and agency alliances.  This growth their insurance business grow into a challenger in the insurance industry which has been historical hard to muscle in on.

Calliden provide general insurance products for small and medium enterprises and personal customers through Calliden Insurance Limited (CIL).  They underwrite two car insurance companies which offer quotes directly to the public; Dawes and Famous.  Both these brands offer car insurance for non standard motor vehicles such as high performance, modified cars, motocycles, and imported cars.
